Manxman Mark Cavendish remains in 144th position overall in the Tour de France after a brutal day in the Pyrenees.

The Team Sky rider finished 134th as Thomas Voeckler battled to win stage 16 over four huge climbs.

His team-mate, British rider Bradley Wiggins, has retained the race leader's yellow jersey for a 10th day.
