Local fiduciary and fund services specialist group, Abacus, are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the Global Superyacht Forum 2012 (‘GSF’).
GSF, now one of the largest and most important meetings for business leaders in the Superyacht industry, is to be held at the ARI in Amsterdam from 12-14 November 2012.
The event organised by Superyacht Events, part of The Superyacht Group, annually brings together over 500 industry leaders to analyse and explore the current status of the Superyacht arena. It will provide focussed discussions and debates on the key areas anticipated to affect the industry and improve its future.
Abacus will be represented at this year’s event by Yachts and Aircraft Manager, Barbara Jolly and Chief Executive Officer – Malta, Garry Crossan.
Abacus Director, Emer Dowling said: ‘Abacus has attended the Global Superyacht Forum for the last two years. This year we have decided to sponsor the event to showcase our growing Yachts and Aircraft division.
“Following the opening of our Malta office, the Global Superyacht Forum is the ideal platform to promote our yacht services offering and to introduce our key people in this area to other industry professionals.’
Chief Executive Officer in Malta, Garry Crossan said: “With offices in the Isle of Man and Malta, we are located in two of the world’s leading shipping jurisdictions, both highly attractive tax jurisdictions with much to offer any yacht owner.
“The Isle of Man and Malta have developed significantly over the last two decades and are renowned for being well regulated, transparent and efficient; supporting their established reputations as financial centres of excellence. With sustained growth and a list of benefits attractive to yacht owners, both look set to continue building on their success in the yachting industry.”
As a long established fiduciary services specialist, with over 30 years experience in the industry, Abacus’ yacht services are aimed at owners and their representatives, with heavy focus on ownership planning, tax, VAT, administration and the operation of a yacht; leaving owners to enjoy the use of their vessel in the knowledge that it’s ownership and operation is being administered efficiently and effectively.
