A three-day hearing into the death of a 44 year-old Douglas man begins this morning.

Carl Mark Green, a baggage handler at Ronaldsway Airport, died suddenly outside his home in Hillside Avenue in February last year.

A 19 year-old Ramsey man, Ryan James Oakey, was subsequently sentenced to 16 months in prison after admitting two offences of affray and one of a threat to cause death or serious injury.

Three days have been set aside for the inquest at Douglas courthouse which reconvenes before coroner John Needham at 10 o’clock.
