How to tackle the pigeon problem

Ways to reduce the number of pigeons in the Island's town centres have been drawn up by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.

Local Authorities have been advised to do something about the nuisance caused by the birds.

DEFA has suggested that designated areas could be created where people can feed the pigeons, away from the busy streets.

Director of Environment Martin Hall says there a few ways to tackle the problem:
