Moore Stephens Isle of Man, leading providers of accountancy, consultancy and multi-sector wealth management services celebrated a successful weekend of events at the Moore Stephens Douglas Regatta 2012 and raised £1,000 for Sailing for the Disabled.
“It was a pleasure to sponsor the Douglas Bay Regatta for a fourth year,” said Ayuk Ntuiabane, partner of Moore Stephens Isle of Man and director for Moore Stephens Yachting, “The historic links between Moore Stephens and shipping in general and the sailing community in particular mean that we attach great importance to supporting events like this while also raising money for a very special nautical charity, Sailing For The Disabled.”
The weekend’s action saw ten yachts compete in over five races. This year’s winner was Phil Hardisty and his crew in ALBERT PENGUIN. At Saturday evening’s barbeque the Lieutenant Governor Adam Wood and Mayor of Douglas D.J. Ashford showed their support.
“Once again Moore Stephens Isle of Man has made this year’s regatta a success,” said Mike McMahon commodore for the Douglas Bay Yacht Club, “Conditions also were fantastic with fresh winds but not too much chop making for exciting close racing.”
