Meeting over Jurby pre-school provision

by isleofman.com 11th July 2012

Parents in Jurby are being invited to discuss concerns about preschool provision with their MHK this week.

Alf Cannan says he's worried that plans by the Children's Centre to run the nursery from September won't meet the needs of working parents in the area.

The charity stepped in when Jurby was left without a new operator for the unit when state-funding ends.

Until now, the preschool's been open for the full school day five days a week, but the Children's Centre is only planning three two-and-a-half hour sessions per week.

Mr Cannan want to hear from existing and new parents at Jurby school on Friday afternoon at 3pm.
