A replacement diesel locomotive is set to be bought for the Island's railway network, after Tynwald today approved ?350,000 of funding.
The money will be spent on a second-hand one from Romania.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure had originally wanted to buy a brand new one for ?750,000, but faced opposition to the plan and subsequently scaled back its aspirations.
During the debate prior to the vote, two MHKs - Howard Quayle and Leonard Singer - expressed their concerns over the attitude of a civil servant during a presentation to members about the locomotive:
