Government still to buy Pinewood shares

by isleofman.com 10th July 2012

No shares in Pinewood Shepperton plc have yet been purchased by Treasury.

That was confirmed by Minister Eddie Teare in Tynwald this morning.

He faced a raft of questions on the deal from Onchan MHK Peter Karran, South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft and Michael MHK Alf Cannan who wanted to know if shares HAD been purchased and what price had been paid.

Mr Teare told the court he welcomed the chance to try and dispel some of the myths and misconceptions that have developed around the Isle of Man Film industry's proposed partnership with Pinewood Shepperton.
