There's no need for any households on the Island to boil their water supplies any more.
The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority says all their investigations have concluded that drinking water is now of a satisfactory standard.
It was thought customers in the east and south of the Island would have to continue boiling supplies until this evening after what's been described as an "unprecedented series of events" led to higher than normal levels of sediment being recorded in water supplies.
The trouble started after Douglas Treatment Works were unable to cope with poor quality raw water after the recent prolonged wet spells.
The Authority is thanking its customers for their patience in the matter.
Anyone with further concerns is asked to contact the Authority on 695 949.
