There's a chance for the public to find out more about plans to introduce new police powers in the Island later this week.
The Police Consultative Forum, an independent body of lay people which scrutinises the work of the Manx force, is holding the first of four public open meetings in Peel on Wednesday (July 11).
Officers from the Home Affairs department will give a presentation on the new Criminal Justice and Police Powers bill and take questions from the floor.
Proposals include new powers for detaining children as young as 10 in serious criminal investigations, and the power to arrest on suspicion an offence has been committed.

Wednesday's meting at the Peel Centenary Centre starts at.7.30pm.

On Tuesday 17 at Ramsey town hall, at Onchan parish hall on Wednesday 18, the last will be held at Castletown Civic Centre on Thursday 19.
