Langness dog walker verbal abuse claim

by isleofman.com 8th July 2012

Police in the south of the Island are seeking help in tracing a lone dog walker after allegations he verbally abused members of the public walking in Langness.

Police are investigating an incident last Sunday afternoon, when the man's reported to have upset a number of people on the peninsula, including a woman walking alone and a family who felt threatened by his behaviour.

He is described as being in his fifties, of stocky or heavy build, around five feet 10 inches tall and of scruffy appearance.

At the time he was wearing camouflage-style clothing and his dog is thought to be either a male Lurcher or Hungarian Visla breed with short red hair and a greying nose.

The man is thought to drive a dark coloured 4 x 4 vehicle.

If you witnessed the incident or can identify the man, you’re asked to contact PC Robin Arnold at Port Erin police station on 832222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
