New Minister to be confirmed next week

by isleofman.com 4th July 2012

The Chief Minister’s confirmed a new Education Minister won’t be appointed until towards the end of next week.

Allan Bell had hoped to announce a replacement for Peter Karran this week.

But he says he’s using the opportunity to conduct a wider review of positions across government, including departmental memberships.

In the meantime, Health Minister David Anderson will continue as interim Minister for Education and Children.

Mr Karran was sacked a fortnight ago for voting against government proposals for the film industry.
