Ramsey Town Commissioners’ chairman Captain Nigel Malpass has said he welcomes the investment being made in the town by Isle of Man resident Trevor Hemmings, the developer behind the new Ramsey Park Hotel, scheduled to open soon.
Captain Malpass was making his comments during a tour of the hotel accompanied by lead member for finance and policy Richard Radcliffe and town clerk Peter Whiteway and led by Tony Lloyd Davies of Cornerstone Architects, the Ramsey-based practice responsible for the hotel’s design.
Spread over four floors the hotel, part of the Classic Lodges portfolio, has 30 bedrooms, including three located at one corner of the building for disabled use or as family rooms which enjoy spectacular views over Mooragh Park and Ramsey Bay, although as Captain Malpass observed, ‘Every one of the guestrooms has superb views.’ He continued: ‘This new hotel will help reposition Ramsey as a premier destination for holidaymakers and visiting business people and complements the Commissioners’ continued investment in Mooragh Park.’
