Meeting will discuss future of Perwick Bay

by isleofman.com 2nd July 2012

A public meeting later this month will discuss the future of a fishing area off the coast near Port St Mary.

The event takes place at the Mount Tabor Methodist Church Hall on Queen’s Road in Port St Mary starting at 7pm on July 17.

Chaired by Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne, it will talk about Perwick Bay and Bay ny Carrickey – and how they can be better managed in the future.

Mr Gawne says many fisheries around the Island are protected, meaning the area off Port St Mary may face problems.
