The Met Office says June was the wettest on record, with almost seven inches of rain over the month.
It beat the previous record, set in 1982, by more than an inch – and was three times the average figure.
June 22 saw just under two inches fall in a single day at Ronaldsway, making it the rainiest June Day ever.
Over the month, there were only 144 hours of sunshine, 30 per cent less than usual and the third lowest on record, while mean daytime temperatures reached just 14.8C, the lowest for more than 20 years.
