Dining delight!

by isleofman.com 30th June 2012

A new intake of volunteers at Noble's Hospital will soon be helping patients get the most from their meals.

A training session was held on Saturday for around 20 new volunteers who've signed-up to become dining companions.

The scheme is both social and practical: they will be welcome company for patients who have few visitors and need encouragement to eat.

They'll also help patients gain maximum nutrition to help their recovery.

A pilot dining companions scheme three years ago produced promising results.
