by isleofman.com 30th June 2012

A new headteacher has been appointed at Andreas Primary School.

Rachel Ashley was announced as the new head by the Department of Education and Children and will start work in January next year.

She was born and bred in the Isle of Man and has been deputy headteacher at Victoria Road in Castletown since 2007.

Mrs Ashley says she's sad to leave her post but already feels welcomed to the small community in the north.
