Significant milestone for aircraft registry

by isleofman.com 29th June 2012

The Island’s aircraft registry has reached a significant milestone.

Its 500th aircraft was registered yesterday – just over five years after the body’s inception.

The honour went to a Bombardier Global 5000, registration M-SEAS, which was delivered new from a factory in Montreal in Canada.

The Island is currently the fastest growing offshore aircraft register in the world and the seventh largest business jet register.

Economic Development Minister John Shimmin said the ‘business-friendly approach offered' had ‘helped establish the Island as a one stop shop for aviation services’.
