Horse rescued and recovering

by isleofman.com 29th June 2012

Firemen were called out to an unusual case this morning (Friday) after a horse became stuck in a ditch.

The incident happened in Jurby just before 1am after the animal had stumbled in its field.

Officers from Douglas and Ramsey, along with a vet and the horse's owner, managed to free the animal using straps and a lifting device.

It was somewhat shaken but otherwise unharmed and quickly recovered from its ordeal.
