A fabulous fortnight of culinary wizardry has just been completed at Manxski’s Chalet Plein Air in the French Alps. Chef in Residence Herve Willems of the Culinary Consultancy was extremely impressed with the work put in and the standards reached on both Level 1 and Level 2 courses. ‘It’s great to see the participants growing in confidence as the week progresses’ he commented ‘and it’s a great endorsement to see all the Level 1 ladies returning for their second year.’
Now in their 6th year offering winter and summer holidays in the Grand Massif, ManxSki are looking to expand their Residential Cookery Courses beyond the established June slots. ‘We’ve already combined a skiing week with some cookery tuition by special request last winter and it went down very well’ commented Co-Host Chris Callow. ‘The Residential Courses have generated a lot on interest but fixed dates will never suit everyone, so we’re inviting people to put together their own group of friends and contact us to look at possible dates’. Herve is happy to deliver tailor-made courses year-round for 4 to 6 participants and non-participating partners can share the generous chalet accommodation.
Chalet Plein Air boasts an 8x4 metre swimming pool, extensive landscaped gardens and a popular wood-fired hot-tub, and is perfectly placed for visits to nearby Geneva, Annecy and Chamonix. Abundant spring flowers or stunning autumn displays, it’s hard to pick a favourite season at Chalet Plein Air, a great base for trecking, cycling, mountain-biking, rafting and other adventurous experiences.
A 5 night course will cost £630 per person sharing a double or twin ensuite, £420 for a non-participating partner. Depending on the size of the group single room supplements may apply. To discuss possible dates for your residential cookery experience contact Chris Callow now on 01624 611211.
