Centenary celebration for Laa Columb Killey

The Island's oldest country fair celebrates its centenary today.

Laa Columb Killey will have all the usual displays and attractions, including the famous tea tent.

It takes place at the School Field in Ballabeg despite the disappointing summer weather.

Organisers are appealing to people to use public transport or walk rather than risk the possibility of getting their cars stuck on wet ground.

Some parking will be available on Arbory School tennis court after 9.15am for the delivery of show produce.

Adrian Cowin says a big effort is being made to celebrate the 100th anniversary:
