The Appleby Pacemakers and Appleby Happy Feet took to the roads on Saturday to join 1,600 participants who attempted to complete the 85-mile Parish Walk 2012.
Appleby staff members Stacey Caple, Jennie Costain, William Duquemin, Emma Harris, Laura Monk, Helen Pitchford and Leanne Woodbridge completed over 196 miles between them and raised over £1,000 for Hospice Isle of Man, the Special Olympics, the Children’s Centre and the RNLI.
Sean Dowling, Managing Partner of Appleby (Isle of Man) LLC, commented on their achievement: “On behalf of Appleby, I would like to congratulate both teams for taking part in this gruelling challenge. The weather and conditions were far from ideal and to cover 196 miles is a great achievement.” He continued, “the nominated charities are all great causes and I would like to thank everyone who supported the teams in their efforts. Congratulations once again and dare I ask, who is ready for next year?”
