Short but diverse questions in Keys

by isleofman.com 24th June 2012

There's a short but diverse question paper in the House of Keys on Tuesday.

Topics range from diseased trees to how to tackle the 'NEETs' problem.

South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft will ask the Infrastructure Minister to withdraw the Planning Policy Statement until evidence it's actually needed is published and work has been done to remove all ambiguities.

Mrs Beecroft has another question, relating to health and care workers and new legislation coming into effect in August.

North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson will ask the environment minister about his department's tree planting policy.

He'll also ask Phil Gawne to make a statement about the plantation closures due to Sudden Oak Death disease.

West Douglas MHK Geoff Corkish has two questions for the infrastructure minister - what's being done to help out 'NEETs', and who's responsible for maintaining Marine Drive and, somewhat ambiguously, 'other locations around the Island'.
