by isleofman.com 21st June 2012

Manx swimmer Laura Kinley finished 6th in last night's final of the 50 metre breaststroke at the British Gas National Championships in Sheffield.

The 16 year-old was the youngest finalist and recorded a time of 32.77 which was fractionally slower than the new Isle of Man record she managed in the heats earlier in the day.

She has already been back in the pool this morning and finished 19th in the heats of the 200 metre breaststroke from 35 who entered.

Her time was 2 minutes 40.9 seconds.
