Inquest of TT fan opens

An inquest into the death of a TT visitor was opened and adjourned at Douglas Courthouse this afternoon (Tuesday).

Amanda Heather McNichol, 49, was visiting from York when she died in an accident involving four bikes on the Wednesday of practice week, May 30.

She was a pillion passenger on a motorbike that crashed near the 32nd Milestone on the Mountain Road.

Coroner of Inquests John Needham has not yet set a date for the inquiry to reopen. He passed on his condolences to Ms McNichol's family.
