Backing banking reforms

Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says the UK Chancellor's plans to get banks lending will do much to improve business confidence, both in Britain and the Isle of Man.

Mr Teare was a top table guest at the prestigious Mansion House gathering in the City of London.

He heard Chancellor George Osborne and the Bank of England announce an ?80 billion credit stimulus for the high street banks.

Mr Teare says it's what the UK economy needs and the boost in confidence for business will be felt here too:
