Cavendish stamps come to life

Postage stamps may be 170 years old, but they’re being brought bang up to date with the latest Isle of Man Post Office issue.

A special set of stamps featuring Mark Cavendish will come with their own smartphone app which will bring them to life.

The technology, known as augmented reality, has never been used on Manx stamps before and the issue is generating interest around the world.

Dot Tilbury of the philatelic bureau explains how it works:
