Ben back on schedule by morning, hopes Packet

by isleofman.com 12th June 2012

A statement from the Steam Packet says it hopes the Ben-my-Chree will leave Douglas for Heysham on time tomorrow morning.

A problem with the starboard propellor's pitch control has hampered the vessel throughout today.

She left Heysham four hours late this morning and took over five hours to get back to the Isle of Man, arriving in Douglas at 11.45am.

Repairs were carried out this afternoon, then checked in a series of sea trials.
