by isleofman.com 12th June 2012

Mike George is a best-selling author, spiritual teacher, management tutor and an inspirational speaker.  Mike is one if the leading voices in the ‘awakening spirituality’ that is now happening in many parts of the world.  He guides, coaches and facilitates the personal and executive development of people in communities and companies in over thirty countries.

In a unique blend of wisdom, insight and humour Mike brings together the three key strands of the 21st century: emotional intelligence, spiritual awareness and continuous ‘unlearning’. Each year he runs a series of Awareness Retreats worldwide.

While he speaks to the minds and hearts of public audiences across the world his corporate clients also include Mitsubishi, Siemens, Johnson and Johnson, Coca Cola, American Express, Sheraton Hotels, Nestle and Unilever.

A large part of Mikes books are about ‘myth busting’ as he goes in search of the naked truth about life, living and loving.  His publications include The 7 AHA!s of Highly Enlightened Souls; Don’t Get MAD Get Wise and his latest book is The 7 Myths About LOVE…Actually!

Mike is visiting the Island on the weekend of June 1thth.  He is hosting a Public Talk on Monday 18 June 7.30pm to 9pm at The Wurlitzer Room, Villa Marina Arcade.  The event is free of charge and the subject is The Power of Presence.  We seldom notice the many moments when we become absent from our life.

When we are not fully present then we are not able to use the power of our presence.  Presence is a state of being that we all have but have forgotten how to access.  Presence allows you to make things happen without pushing, forcing or telling others what to do.  Presence is quiet, it’s subtle, it’s the most powerful way to influence others without ‘doing’ anything..  The evening is open to everybody.  Please book/register online at www.bkwsu.org/uk/isleofman or call Joanna Kitto on 626940.

The organizer is the Brahma Kumaris Isle of Man, a locally registered charity based on the Island since 1994. The BK offers courses, retreats and seminars facilitating self-development and well-being through self-awareness, meditation and positive thinking.  Please see www.bkwsu.org/uk/isleofman for further details.
