Sayle Gallery Invites Submissions for its Summer Show

by isleofman.com 12th June 2012

All Island artists are invited to bring their work to the Sayle Gallery, Harris Promenade, Douglas between 10am and 5pm on Tuesday 10 July.  A maximum of two pieces can be submitted for £5 each (Sayle Gallery Artists free) and they should not previously have been on show in the Sayle Gallery.

Gallery curator Hazel Walsh asks that all works are strung and ready to hang with labels indicating title of work, medium and sale price. Wall art should be no larger than A2 (approximately 60 x 42 cm) including frames.  Sculptures must also be clearly labelled.

The exhibition is open to all artists on the Isle of Man regardless of whether they are Friends of the Sayle Gallery and Chairman Roger Phillips said:

“this is an opportunity for all artists to show their work in the Sayle Gallery, and with our prestigious location between the Villa Marina and the Gaiety Theatre, we are ideally situated to attract a large number of people – residents and visitors alike.  I look forward to seeing some interesting art from the very talented artists we have here on the Island.”

As in previous years, there will be a prize for the work judged as being of the highest standard, and one for the work chosen as their ‘favourite’ by visitors to the Gallery during the exhibition.
