Gas work means delays in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 12th June 2012

Work to repair a gas leak in Ramsey is likely to take at least another 24 hours.

Manx Gas engineers have been working on the problem at the junction of Parliament Square and Brookfield Road since yesterday, but it requires some road excavations.

While access is possible for cars and other vehicles, it's impossible for buses to negotiate the area where the work is taking place.

It means buses will not be running on that route until the repairs are complete.

The Department of Community Culture and Leisure says that applies to the Ramsey Town Service C until further notice.

Manx Gas says everything is being done to get the work done as soon as possible, but safety is the main priority.
