Solway Harvester questions in Keys

by isleofman.com 12th June 2012

The future of the Solway Harvester will be discussed in the House of Keys this morning.

Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer will ask Infrastructure Minister David Cretney about plans to dispose of the wreck, cost of upkeep and mooring and what powers he has to dispose of it.

When the former minister Phil Gawne was asked a similar question in June last year, he said there were no plans to remove the vessel from Douglas harbour until legal proceedings in relation to the tragedy had been completed.

It's over 12 years since the scallop dredger sank in Manx waters with the loss of all seven crewmen.
