Third time lucky for Farquhar

Northern Irishman Ryan Farquhar lived up to his billing as pre-race favourite by winning the inaugural 'Super Twins' Lightweight TT in convincing style.

Victory by 28.99 seconds from James Hillier ensured Farquhar ended his seven-year spell without a win at the TT.

His team-mate Michael Rutter was third.

It’s the Dungannon man’s third ever TT success and a place on the top of the podium after a third and second place earlier in the week.
