Manx National anthem sung at pageant

It's emerged the Manx national anthem was sung on the river Thames during the Queen's Jubilee pageant last weekend!

The 12-man crew on a Viking longboat from Peel spotted a restored Steam Packet lifeboat while lining-up on the water last Sunday.

The Viking barge was making its way to the manpowered craft group, while the lifeboat, taken on the 1930 Lady of Mann to the Dunkirk evacuation, was part of the historic service section.

Matt Cain restored the little lifeboat to save her from being broken-up and proudly displayed a Manx flag at the pageant.
