Biker killed in Crosby accident named

Police have named a man who was killed in a road accident on the main Douglas to Peel Road earlier this week.

Jean Jacques Gerard Leroux, from France, lost his life in a three vehicle accident which happened in Crosby on Monday morning.

50 year old Mr Leroux was pronounced dead at the scene.

He had been visiting the Island with a motorbike group known as "The 59 Club"

His wife and family have been informed and are liaising with a Police Family Liaison officer and an interpreter to repatriate Mr Leroux back to France.

The accident is still being investigated by the Roads Policing Unit and officers have thanked locals and visitors for their response for witnesses appeals.
