A select committee of Tynwald will hear evidence over the contentious landswap deal in Kirk Michael this morning.
The department of education had agreed to give part of the village school’s playing field to Heritage Homes, which in return would provide a parcel of land for the school to expand onto.
The company was eventually refused planning permission to build 100 houses at Douglas Road Corner, but has since submitted new plans.
This morning, three members of Tynwald will quiz former education minister Eddie Teare MHK, and the department’s chief executive officer Stuart Dobson.
The committee was set up in February to look into the deal between the government, Heritage Homes and Pinecrest Investments.
The three-member committee is made up of Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan, Brenda Cannell MHK and Juan Turner MLC.
Mr Dobson and Mr Teare will give their evidence today at 10am in the Legislative Council chamber in Douglas.
Their evidence will be given in public and members of the public are welcome to attend.
