Weather problems for racing

by isleofman.com 6th June 2012

The weather is causing problems for the third race day of TT 2012.

This morning's racing had to be postponed due to the wet and misty conditions.

The Mountain Road closed at 12.30pm, followed by the rest of the course at 1pm

At 1.30pm a course inspection is due to take place, which will be made by course officials along with riders John McGuinness, sidecar driver Roy Hanks and Johnny Barton.

Depending on the outcome of that inspection, the proposal is then for the Arai parade lap to get underway at 2pm with the four-lap Supersport Two race starting at 2.45pm.

This will be followed by the one-lap TT Zero event at 4.30pm. Between 5pm and 6pm roads will open at the access points around the course.

Sidecar Race Two will then take place at 6.15pm, with a practice session for the Senior class scheduled for 7.45pm and the Lightweight practice at 8.10pm

The latest weather forecast suggests that the weather may close in again later this evening.
