Banking jobs will go says union chief

Island jobs will be lost at the Lloyds Banking Group, a union chief is warning.

The announcement that 630 posts will be axed across the group follows the news of 15,000 reductions announced last year.

Steve Salter, head of unite, says it’s inevitable some positions will go locally.
