Racing delayed after serious traffic accident

by isleofman.com 4th June 2012

The start of the second day's racing at TT 2012 could be delayed for up to two hours.

It follows a serious traffic accident at Greeba Bridge.

It happened around 9.30 am and police closed the main Peel Road from Crosby to Ballacraine.

Currently the Mountain section of the course remains closed, with the rest of the course open to traffic apart from the section where the accident has taken place.

When racing does get underway, two solo classes are due to take place, the Supersport Race 1 and the Superstock event.

Racing should have started at 10.45am.

The new start times for the races are yet to be confirmed
