Motorcyclist dies after crash at Alpine

Police say a motorcyclist who was involved in an accident at Alpine Corner last week has died.

He's been named as 52-year-old Niel Ford from West Yorkshire.

His Suzuki motorbike was involved in a collision with a Renault car at 11.40 on Wednesday morning.

Both vehicles were travelling in the direction of Ballaugh at the time of the incident.

Mr Ford sustained serious injuries and died in Noble's Hospital on Friday.

The occupants of the car were uninjured.

The coroner of inquests has been informed.
