The RNLI and Sailing for the Disabled in the Island have each received donations from Douglas-based accountancy firm Moore Stephens.
The firm led a fund-raising drive at Douglas Bay Yacht Club last month, during an open day to encourage more people to take-up sailing and cruising.
Around 15 local businesses large and small offered raffle prizes at the event.
Both charities have been presented with cheques for ?250 raised on the day.
The RNLI will use the money to train new lifeboat crew members while Sailing for the Disabled said as the charity relies entirely on donations it will help keep them afloat!.
