Mona's Queen anchor laid to rest

It was a campaign spearheaded by the late Captain Andrew Douglas.

A bid to have a permanent memorial to the Steam Packet staff who died during World War Two.

One of the heroines of the Dunkirk evacuations, the Mona's Queen, has had its anchor put into its final resting place in Port St Mary, ensuring the important role the company and its crew played will never be forgotten.
