Chief Minister builds links

by isleofman.com 30th May 2012

The Chief Minister is hoping to build new relationships with the Channel Islands to help secure the Isle of Man's future.

Allan Bell was in Guernsey yesterday [tues] and is in Jersey today with the Treasury Minister and other senior government officials.

He says that as all three Islands have relatively new Chief Ministers, now is the time to take the initiative and learn about their priorities and concerns in what are, globally, very worrying times.

Mr Bell says while the Island will always be in direct competition with Jersey and Guernsey in certain areas - he believes there's much to be gained by forging stronger links with our crown dependency counterparts.
