by isleofman.com 30th May 2012

Police have released more details about two accidents yesterday that left two motorcyclists dead.

Shortly before 7am yesterday, a yellow and blue Dennis bin wagon, a blue and white Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorbike and a red and white Yamaha R6 bike were all travelling towards Kirk Michael.

Officers say the bin wagon had stopped and the two motorcycles collided, leaving the Suzuki rider from Ramsey dead and the Yamaha rider needing hospital treatment. The occupants of the bin wagon were uninjured.

At around 11.30am yesterday, a second accident happened at Bulgham on the main Ramsey to Laxey Coast Road.

Involved were a blue and white Suzuki motorbike ridden by a man from the Northeast UK and a red Citroen car driven by a local man who had his wife with him.

Police say they’d like to speak to the driver of a white car which was travelling North and stopped at the scene.

Officers haven’t yet named either of the men killed. If you have any information on either incident, you can contact police headquarters on 631212.
