Mountain Road to close and racing at Billown

TT 2012 starts in earnest this evening (Friday) with road racing action in the south of the Island.

It’s the first practice session for the Blackford’s Pre TT Classic at Billown.

Roads around the circuit will be closed from 6.05pm until up to 9.35pm.

The final practice session and first race are tomorrow afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Mountain Road will be closed between Barrule Park in Ramsey and the Creg-ny-Baa from 9.15am today.

It’s to allow the setup of a one-way system to Douglas which comes into effect at 4pm for the whole of TT fortnight until Monday, June 11.
