by isleofman.com 22nd May 2012

Royal London 360° has retained its B+ AKG rating. No other offshore life company is rated higher.

Produced by AKG Actuaries and Consultants Ltd (AKG*), these ratings highlight both the financial and relative strength of a long-term insurer and are used to assist advisers and analysts. They measure factors including service ability, assets, liabilities, new business data, market share and product range.

Royal London 360° scored four out of a possible five stars for its Unit Linked financial strength, and in the ‘Support Ratings’ category for its ‘Image and Strategy’ and ‘Annual Review’. No other offshore life company has a rating higher than B+.

The report concludes: “Overall, the Royal London 360° operation appears well positioned in terms of its own capital position and strategic direction and ... with requisite commitment and visibility. It is operating profitably, it is well capitalised and now firmly established as Royal London’s sole offshore life company.”

Royal London 360°’s Director of Marketing, Natalie Hall, commented: “Retaining our B+ AKG financial strength rating is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, and the considerable investment we have made over the last year in our back office infrastructure. I am delighted to see that this is being recognised within the industry. We strive to provide a superior level of personal service to our clients and they should be reassured by our B+ rating.”
