Luton flight problems confirmed

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2012

Flybe has issued a statement regarding Sunday's incident at Ronaldsway.

The airline says it can confirm that their flight BE161 from the Island to Luton experienced a technical fault.

It's understood this involved a warning light indicating a possible problem with the undercarriage.

As a result the plane, with 48 passengers and four crew, had to return to the Island for engineering checks as a precautionary measure.

All passengers disembarked down the steps as normal and were flown out on the next available flight.

The statement says safety is the airline's number one priority and apologises for any inconvenience caused to its customers.
