Bee Gees proud of their homeland

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2012

The Bee Gees never forgot their roots.

That's the view of veteran Manx Radio presenter Bernie Quayle who formed a close friendship with the group - and in particular Robin Gibb who passed away at the age of 62 on Sunday night.

The brothers were born in Douglas before moving to Manchester and then Australia.

But Bernie says they were always very proud of their homeland.

He interviewed the band on several occasions and there's a chance to hear those unique recordings on Perspective this Thursday at five-past-six.
