Young athletes in action

by isleofman.com 19th May 2012

There was a good turnout for the opening of the 11th HSBC Manx Youth Games at the National Sports Centre this morning.

Billed as a "mini Olympics" for the Island, it was the culmination of months of training for over a thousand school children from around the Island aged eight and up.

Eleven sports are held at the NSC and other venues in Douglas.

These children clearly lover the opening ceremony . . .

Community Culture and Leisure Minister, Tim Crookall, says it's been another great event and he's delighted that it will be continuing in 2013
