Unions must show maturity

The Chief Minister is urging Island unions to ‘show maturity’ when it comes to discussions over workers’ terms and conditions.

Allan Bell says it’s inevitable the issue will have to be tackled as part of a detailed assessment of the scope of government.

Although Mr Bell says only ‘politically and socially acceptable’ proposals will be considered, he insists a two-way street is essential.
